We recently helped cult Ibiza brand, Clockwork Orange celebrate its 27th birthday at Magazine, London in epic style, if you haven’t already, you can read all about it here. The iconic Clockwork Orange - the legendary club night that rocked Ibiza and the UK between 1994 and 1999, gaining a cult following in the process - approached us to create a series of acts which depicted their personality - weird and wonderful, sexy yet sophisticated - and most importantly - quirky and unique.
In addition to an array of bespoke and bizarre entertainment which we dreamed up for this client, we also created an entirely new act - our Lampshade Ladies.

The inspiration behind this unique act was to create something with a vintage feel which lit up the room and had a magpie effect on guests, drawing them to this shiny, iridescent act, which would essentially be a walking selfie opportunity for guests.
The Creative Team at CEP began by sketching ideas of how the costume would look and thinking about how the act would move and behave - its personality. We decided on an orange and beige colour palette, combined with the natural shine of pearls and contrasted with the fabric texture of the vintage tassels and showgirl costume.
To create the lampshade headpiece, we customised a vintage lampshade with strings of pearls and tassels, and fitted LED lighting. We ensured that the headpiece wouldn’t hide the performer’s mouth to ensure visibility of bright red lips and flashing smiles.
Paired with our classic showgirl costume and glittery gold high-heeled, thigh high boots, we brought to life a sexy, surreal act which literally and figuratively, lit up the room.
