Celebrating Local Creative Talent in a Retail Setting
Highcross Shopping Centre tasked CEP Agency with creating an interactive art event that showcased Leicester’s local talent. The Love of Art transformed the lower mall into a lively pop-up gallery, featuring 16 artists, hands-on activities, and selfie moments. The event attracted high footfall, generated media buzz, and blended art appreciation with an engaging retail experience.
What We Delivered
Design, Concept & Build: Crafted a dynamic event concept that blended a curated art exhibition, live art installations by two featured artists, and interactive touch points. Constructed a bespoke pop-up gallery space with an illustrated colouring-in wall,.
Workshops: Delivered a programme of creative workshops, including Paint & Sip, Flower Handprints, Embroidery Hoop, Mosaic Coasters, and a special Pizza Decorating Workshop in partnership with Frankie & Benny’s.
Gallery Guides: Provided themed art gallery staff to guide visitors, share artist insights, and elevate the overall customer experience.
Selfie Area: Designed an art-themed interactive photo zone, offering visitors a shareable, social-media-ready moment.
Media Amplification: The event attracted widespread media attention, with features in the Harborough Mail, Melton Times, and Leicester Mercury.
